mail me some pics when the tcase explodes
My high school buddy used to drag race a 351C powered ford truck. They loved it when he would scatter 90W oil from the tcase on the track, took forever to clean up. He'd have the best 60' times, but what would you expect from a roots blown 351C?

No problems with my transfer case so far but it is a 2500 HD..
We have about 29,000 miles on it and probably 30 plus 4x4 launhces with it.. A lot of those have been on the street.. We have also done a fair amount of extreme off roading in 4x4.. Still runs great. Cant` say If I would recomend doing it or if its safe to do but I personally have no problem with racing in 4x4.. Man those 1.85 sixy foots feel awesome in a 6100 lb tank
Putting a new cam in this saturday, up the juice a little and see how the transfer case likes the extra power..

With autotrack on, and launching on nitrous, it wasn't holding for me. I felt some grip from the fronts, but my rear tires still broke free (but not as bad as in 2wd) and had a 2.4 60'. Same setup next launch except in 4HI and cut a 1.9 60' with no slipping.
Based on that experience, autotrac has its limits.

it maight be alraight for a few passes, but i wouldnt trust running the 1/4th in 4x4... its a lot of strain. Ive just heard that its not to good to go over 45-50 in 4x4 MODE but then again its worth a shot..
oh and i like 4 low for bean field dragging, talk about TQ
