does the poweraid t/b spacer work

I have one, but it truly does nothing. I got it as a x-mas gift like 2 years ago and put it on cause it made a cool whistling sound. I haven't taken it off cause i want a ported TB, and am gonna take it off when i do that. I didn't lose any hp's, so why worry for now.
