Does muffler really matter THAT much?

Yea I will, I just can't find any references that's why I was hesitant. I guess I'm just thinking of how my friends 01 bullet mustang with headers and flowmasters compared to my other friends mustang same year with bullitt style muffler, quiet as hell lol

I prefer Magnaflow, but you should go with whatever you like the sound of as the difference between Mag-Flow will be so minimal that you will never notice it

Personally i don't like the way Flowmasters really sound at cruise. I'd go for the Magnaflow...but hey, the flows were on my SS when I got it so I left it. I don't hear it much in the cab since it's out the back, but being out the side it'll scream quite a bit.

Thanks for all the input guys

Headers should come in monday. What have you guys spent on just a header install? I say just headers because I know some people that say I can get a hook up since I know them personally, just wanna know how much and if they really are discounting me. I can get custom exhaust from a shop for about 60$ so no need to worry about that lol

I've always done this myself, but I'm sure the hard part is usually finding a welder...benefits of the military for having a shop on base that has all that. If I were to ballpark though, I would pay no more than $100 tops Some may even high-ball at less.
