does the HD LQ4 tune have engine braking tuned into it?

Alrighty guys....this gas mileage is KILLING me. LOL. I DD my truck about an hour of stop and go and a little bit of highway per day. It's painful to look at the gas gauge. I think it's really bad with this winter blend of gas. I'm getting about 13 mpg. Does anyone have any settings for DFCO that are seemless in transition? I will not stand for any jerking of my drivetrain. If it can't work out then I'll forget about it.
Also, wtf was GM thinking with the high octane table of the LQ4 tune. And I'm not talking about the WOT stuff, I'm talking about the part throttle area. 20 freaking degrees of timing down low. I guess if you're towing 10,000 lbs you don't want any knock but damn. No wonder it feels like a turd. I pulled up a stock LS2 tune and it's night and day difference. I was using the stock LS2 timing table running SD and the throttle off the line was so much more crisp. Now I modified the LS2 table to get like 35 degrees of timing down low. I wonder how it will work.

To reduce the 'clunk' coming out of DFCO set the exit with in a couple of the entry MAP setting.
I have played alot with this setting and if you keep those close it will not take much TPS to get the MAP up and come out of DFCO, if you have it spread apart then it takes a ton of TPS and it clunks and jerks when the timing and fuel start back up.
I can see where DFCO might help with some MPGs depending on the way you drive and the terrain in which you drive. I have hills and use it.

And what is your point? you engine is not a stock ls2.. Also the GM spark tables in GTOs, Fbodies, Vettes IMO are rather aggressive... Comparing your engine to a ls2 is like comparing apples and donkeys...
If you truly want to set your timing in the idle ares you need to use the DVT (bi-directional controls) increase or decrease the timing until the max intake Vacuum is acheived... But that is also dependent on a goood RAF (Running Airflow talbe).... Then when your done doing that, copy those values over to the 4 timing tables...

The increase in timing made a huge difference in response right off idle. BTW, the truck doesn't run anywhere near 30 degrees of timing at idle. It fluctuates between 15 and 20 degrees. There must be a table that alters the idle timing based on certain parameters.
