It looks like around 20mpg is the max with weight of these trucks.

thats pretty impressive with 4k stall. what speed do you have it lockup at?

I had the tuner lock it up at 32mph, which is the same rpm at 40mph with the 3.73 gears

I lock it only in 4th gear actually, and at 50 mph. I have locked it lower and in 3rd but I hate the locking and unlocking in town in traffic, so I only lock it in 4th close to highway speeds. Pre stall and gears I got 19-21 depending on highway mix.

I got terrible mileage with the completely stock 4.8 w/ 3.23 gears. I now get about 15-16 city and 22-23 on the highway.

If I baby mine I can get a couple more out of it, or just using non ethanol fuel I get a couple miles better per gallon.

did the headers help much?

Maybe its the dbw on my truck. It seems like the idle is set a too high and theres is a delay when letting off the gas. When its cold it sometimes idles to 20-30mph without any foot on the gas. Its annoying.

I did the headers, exhaust, CAI and tune with little to no change. I did the drop, gears and UDP and only tuned the speedo calibration later.
