Dodge Reg cab Hemi is sport truck's truck of the year!

But of course Sport Truck compared it to the 1500 Silverado extended cab with quadrsteer, 1500 HD Sierra, and Toyota extra cab.
And according to them it ran 15.15 with the 20's and will give the SS Silverado a run for it's money.

According to my motor trend the Dodge hemi ran a 16.16 and 16.2 in the next artical which was a 2x4 with 4.10s and weighed in at 5200Lbs.It can not run with a stock new 1/2 ton xcab 4x4 5.3 ,Motor trend lists them running 16.0.One other thing the dodge has no fuel ratings, i will bet its a gas pig.

I think in a SCSB Dodge the Hemi will be a runner. Given the SS a run, isnt saying much since motor trend tested the SS at 15.3 in the quarter (and keep in mind this is a press fleet truck) so I'm sure you'll see 15.5's or so for the SS.
The Hemi's i'm sure chug gas, and are much heavier than the Silverados. I wont call them "the ****" but I have respect for Dodge for putting a 345 horse engine in a SCSB truck.
As far as truck of the year goes, I sent a letter to Truckin' for the same thing.......you cant compare 5 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT trucks and decide what your truck of the year will be..........UNLESS you are saying that this one truck is the best of all the trucks being made this year. And since they only tested 5 they cant really say that. They used NO PATTERN to pick out their trucks. Just threw random options on different trucks and compared them to see what was the best......If you dont keep constants you'll never get a good comparison. They have yet to reply.
