Headders are so easy on these trucks, you bearly need jack stands! If you do it your self you will save tons! It only should take a day max and thats in your drive way. save your money for a good tune

I am recovering hip replacement surgery. I wont be able to do it myself for awhile. I got friends that would help but it seems like a lot of work for a favor.

I would like to just get them on so I can hear them. Im tired of looking at theheaders. They look sweet

Yeah that would make it tough! Did you get the y-pipe too? That makes it even easier.

I'm paralyzed from the stomach down and i put my headers and exhaust on with minimal help from a friend. Your friends should be able to do it easily. Never hurts to ask them.

If you are having them put on by a shop you might as well buy ball and socket connections instead of band clamps or flanges. better seal with no gaskets.
i want to switch from Flanges to ball/socket when I get a chance.

Ball and Socket:

Flange with gasket (what I don't want anymore)

yeah, I might ask my friends for some help. I am tempted to have the headers welded up to the ypipe to prevent any leaks. I bought the uncoated headers and theyre mild steel, they shouldnt be too hard to weld up.

I used band clamps, just so when my tranny blows-up, its a whole lot eaiser to pull the y-pipe. No leaks here and pretty easy to pull apart. I have the mild steel pacesetters as well they are holding up nicely.

I had mine welded but your tranny will eventually blow up. So at least use band clamps.

I know, eventually I plan on having a converter installed. Im tempted to wait and have them both done at the same time. Still saving up for the converter though.
