Default Do I need backpressure? 32 in. tires.

Do I need backpressure? I have a Hypertach, K&N FIPK, 4.10, and I chopped the muffer off. Ran good until I installed 20 in. rims, it feels like am pulling a trailer. 275/55r20 = 31.9 in. overall diameter.
I would like to know if headers would hurt my position even more.

Taller tires will negativly affect your gear ratio. I can't imagine it being that bad. Does it do this just at take off? Did you program the new tire height in with the HPP III?

I did program the new tire and gear ratio into the powerprogramer. Take off is the the worst. I don't know if it is the weight of the rims and tires or just the height. Maybe it is both. My buddy has 20's, however he has 255/35r20s and he can still tell a big differnce.

Better or worse? His o.d. is 27" I would think it would be better. Man that's a thin sidewall, that's gotta ride rough. I just put 18"s on my truck with 285/50/18(29.2 o.d.) on them and it seems to run a little better.

Truck, I noticed a slight difference with my 275/60/18 (31") with 3.73 but it wasn't that bad.

Greg, What brand did you go with and how do you like them so far? I just ordered the same size in the Yoko AVS to go with my 2/4 hotchkis drop I will be puting on friday.

Let me tell you, those are some tiirrreeess. The wheels I have only have 5" back spacing(18x8) and with the 285 tires and 3" drop up front, any big bumps and it could be good by fenders. This gives me an excuse to bring it back up to a 2" drop up front. I thought about taking them back to get a thinner tire on the front, but said nahhh. I'm not really going for that slammed street custom look anyway. I like the performance look and the Yoko's have that. They are rather bulky. A buddy said "Those look like mudders" To each his own I guess. They sure as hell have some gripshun. Make sure your tire shop puts them on right(they are directionals).

lol, either ryan (gray gmc) or his friend said the same thing about my tires (bfg sport trucks), asked if i had all terrains on or somethin like that... i was like hellllsss no! no worries though, just means someone needs to donate a new set of rims, a drop kit and some tires with a slightly smaller sidewall to me

Sweet! I am glad you had a positive responce on the Yokos. There is a Dakota here in town that has those exact tires on 18x9 Sportmetal Revolvers and they are badass looking. I talked to another guy on FSC that has them in a 285/60/18 and he really likes them as well. So you like them more than the Nittos(what I have now) you had for a few days? Aren't you still running the Eagles too? I thought you said before that they were 18x8.5. I dont know what the backspacing/offset are on my Modas but I know they are 18x8.5. Got any pics yet? I would like to see what I have to look forward to.
