I would also get the tune checked. There have been many complain about wait4me. Make sure they removed some Torque managment, and get the exhaust taken care of. It should move out pretty good with that engine.

i am having a local guy tune it, he is going to put it on the dyno first, then street tune it while i drive, then back to the dyno to compare results.

i was wanting to know if my low torque and crappy gas milage was from tune or exhaust or both, and if its exhaust then i want to fix exhaust before i shell out 300 bucks on a tune.

so i guess ill do exhaust then tune, will 3 inch with cat be to much, i already bought 3 inch cat, 3 inch flowmaster 2 chamber, and the 3 inch tailpipe kit from flowmaster.

The 3" is good, but I wouldnt have gone with flowmaster. They can cause power loss also. Magnaflow would have been a better choice.

The Flowmasters have shown to not make nearly as much power as a straight through muffler

Yeah, think about it, if a 3 inch is good enough for a F body then why wouldn't it be good enough for your truck. There are ALOT of high HP F body guys running 3 inch

what are you comparing it to? it is a 5.3. put a stall in it and it will be fixed. 2.25 pipe is plenty small enough for true duals. especially if it has tail pipes.

it has dumps, 2 1/4 into magnaflows throughs, then 2 1/4 dump, total of 4 foot from header flange to dump.

and if you suggest stall, what size and why? the motor is stock except for CAI, headers and the exhaust i told you about.

what are your plans for this motor?cam, heads or just stock? if stockish id gasket match the stock manifolds and run them with a stock truck y(cut out cats maybe).
