I was reading that the PCMs in the 03+ trucks offer almost double the processor speed of the earlier PCMs,Does that equate to increased performance or at least increased performance potential?

Can you control every aspect? I don't think so. You can only control the tables that LS1 Edit gives you access to, which aren't all of them. Ask Flyer, he had Carputing change some tables on his PCM that none of the regular Edit uses has access to.

That's correct ... it's actually a driveshaft torque limit I think, not sure what it means or does, but it didn't fix my problem. I am certain there are some other tables in there that aren't shown. In all seriousness ... EDIT blows .. EDIT support blows .. EDIT's licensing blows even harder. It's on eof those things that they have had the market for so long, they have learn to take advantage of it. Hopefully that is all soon to change with the new HPtuners software coming out. I would have gotten that in a heartbeat if I would have known about it before I spent 425 getting EDIT on my new truck having to buy a new cable cause carputing is to lazy to figure out what's going on. FWIW .. HPTuners said they had the same problem but quickly found it and fixed it. It can't be anything to serious, I've not heard of any issues with a Hypertech or anything either, just EDIT. OK .. enough about EDIT and blowing.
While I was talking to KEN, I did learn that physically, yes, the 03 PCM is different. It also has twice the memory the older ones do. I suppose maybe it could help performance by updating and running all it's stuff quicker, but I don't know how much there would be to gain from it.
