Default Dirt Cheap Torque Converters

Just looking thru jcwhitney catalog and noticed 2500 stall lock up converters for 4l60e 87-03 models for $179.I know alot of people had interest in trailblazer converters that no one really responded back ti let us know if it works.I will still hold out for a yank converter thou, since I only put quality stuff on my truck. The part # is49sa4700u if anyone is interesed. Also comes with a 1 year warranty.

they are probably just re-stalled stock converters...VERY inefficient at higher RPM's but the upside is the clutches are pretty good

It means in order to stall to a higher rpm they had do decrease the vane pitch (this is done without any other internal modifications)...at higher RPM's the vanes then cannot move enough fluid to turn the transmission as efficiently as a converter designed as a high-stall to begin with....you end up with a high-stall converter that at high-rpm will actually cause a horsepower LOSS to th rear tires
