Different LS6/ ZO6 cam springs?

Default Different LS6/ ZO6 cam springs?

Just wondering the difference in the red and yellow stripped ones.

Don't know the difference in colors, but I do know that only the first year of LS6 engines production, were the only year that did not have the yellows. All following years had yellows. I would be curious to know the answer to this as well.

I think the early ones were blue. I don't know what red springs are.

They are considered orange or pink depending on who is looking at them. 03-04 motors had them. Lost of info on ls1tech.

According to LS1Tech all LQ9's got "orange" springs which were rated to .580 lift. I do remember my springs being orangish when I took the cover off.

Yeah, that is true for the LQ9's, but the question was asked regarding the LS6 engines, which are different colors altogether...

2001 LS6 had Blue Springs, rated upto .550" lift

2002-2003 LS6/LS2 had Yellow Springs, rated upto .580" lift

2003 and up LS6, LQ9 and LQ4 had Orange Springs, rated upto .580" lift
