difference between and HD and "other" 6.0's....

difference between and HD and "other" 6.0's....
Messing around with these trucks is new to me.... As such, I'm in a learning stage.
I bought an '02 2500HD with a 6.0 to replace my '97 truck. I like it, but would like to know what the differences are between the 6.0 in my truck and the 325hp/370 torque 6.0's in things like the Denali, etc..... I have an inkling that it's mostly just computer programming (ala the 15 HP boost the 5.3's got).
Has any gotten a friendly dealership to reflash the truck with other programming? Think it'd work? Curious to hear the discussion.
