did I noticed a difference. I know cutting a hole in front to the air box did the trick. However, I am still a little confused. According to this site, http://sshotrods.com/performance/fullsize/99up/airbox/
they cut 2 holes in the air box, one in front and the the other in the back(right next to the coolant deposit). I do not understand why they would cut the back part. By doing this you are only greating an air flow through the air box. By not cut the back part of the air box you not giving the air flow to go anywhere but up the filter. What do you guys think? Am I right? Or should I go ahead cut the back hole on my air box. Also after doing these mods, I have a slight hissing noise from my power steering. I can only hear it when I turn left and its almost inaudioble, but I know its there. I checked my power steering fluid level and needed just a bit. I top it to full and it's still doing it. I might just take to the dealership tommorow.

my $.02, just cut the front, you dont want any of that hot air from the back anyways, i don't think there is anykind of ram air effect but who knows there might be so another reason to just cut the front.

I just did this mods today too. I only cut the section near the coolant tank though. I also cut off the air silencer baffle thing.
I noticed part throttle take off is better and after driving around half the night I started to actually get on it a bunch of times and I can definately tell a difference. I can actually even spin the tires a tiny bit now without stalling it up. And once I hit around 3k rpm the things starts to haul ***.
I'll go G-Tech it tomorrow night and see if it has changed any. I am guessing maybe 1-2 10ths at most.
