Denali Performance.......
Whats up all! I recently bought a 2002 White Denali and was wondering what route I should take as far as modding goes. The Denali is already impressively quick (spanked my friends *** ((00 Z-71 reg cab w/5.3 liter and exhaust from a dead stop, and from a roll, which is a much lighter truck) But I am looking for more as usual. I have already dumped the exhaust (Dual turndowns right before the muffler), what should I do next?
Also, what oil is everyone using in these things?
I just sold my Hugger SS, and am starting to get the bug again!

Re: Denali Performance.......
Okay, on the 6.0 liter there are 2 pipes that run into the muffler. (about halfway back) I went to a muffler shop, and asked them to dump the exhaust, so we cut two holes in the pipes, and welded up a turndown leg onto each pipe, facing the ground. Now, the exhaust escapes through the turndowns, before going through the muff, and it also sounds badass. People always look at it funny because they didnt know a denali could sound like that, especially when the stock exhaust is still on all the way out the back, and it still has the stock tip, hehehe

I know the configuration of the 6.0 pipes and right now, you are running unequal back pressure. I would stongly suggest an x pipe or something since you run it that way all the time. It may be fine, that's just my opinion. Why didn't you just get cutouts?

Re: Denali Performance.......
so basically its like yur running straight pipes from the cats back? i think that might be robbing some low end torque by having very little back pressure.
also that is a heavy muffler on there. if i were you i'd take the muffler and un-used exaust off if its only on there for the look of still having stock exaust.
