Dash Removal 2001 Chevy

Can someone throw me a quick write up on how to remove the dash panel on a 2001 Chevy Truck?

Tilt the wheel all the way down, put the gear selector all the way down into 1st, wedge your fingers in somewhere and start pulling. The dash is snap-together.

lol, i always forget to do the gear selector...i am like banging **** around thinking...WTF...I know this comes off easier than this.
