Default cutout installed q's..

what up guys....i installed some cutouts today but i put them right before the muffler...like in the middle of the truck...truck is a scsb. they said that for better gains i should of put them right after the header. header is a 3 inch collector but i have a 2.5 inch pipe...so thats why i installed the cutouts. ill see if i go to the track this weekend and run it with them open and closed if it dont make no diffrence i think im gonna move them !!! how r u guys runnin them.....any diffrences ? ill see if i can take some pics tomorrow !

I think you need to get the truck tuned for cutouts.

I ran my qtp's right before the muffler NO TUNE you shouldn't have to tune it. I own an SSS and I ran a 14.8 with out a tune and the cutouts open. Try it out, you will also like the sound it makes.

yeah i tried it and it did help....helped 1 tenth in the 1/4 mile....SO THEY DO WORK

To get max performance of cutouts open you need to tune. Played this game before trying different mufflers on my procharged camaro. Each one needed the tune tweaked.
