Custom Tune
#2
A tune can increase mpg.. it depends on the tune of course. Hp gains vary upon your setup. If its stock, you can expect between 15-25 at the wheels from a nelson tune i beleive.
Nelson also tunes for whatever gas your running.. he also tunes for a 87/93... which means you can run 87 daily and the fuel tables will be in sync if you run 93 for the track.
Contact Nelson.. hes a sponser on the right>>>> (hey i can say that now, lol)
He'll get ya pointed in the right direction

I had a Superchips, which worked well(was better than stock) then sold that to my friend and got a Westers. Very different, much more power everywhere. But have also heard great things about Nelsons.

I got my HP-tuning done by Edgar (ls1cantu) from Aggressive Motorsports
...he told me the tuning added about 30hp give or take a few...He did the power enrichment tune (no knock retard) also and I've been gettin' very good gas mileage on my truck. I get ~23-24 mpg on the highway, ~16.8mpg in the city
...torque management gone...
