I have been making my own plug wires for 15 years or so...for my bike but I have tested a few and I can tell you this...

Taylor kits are good.
Accel is my favorite.
MSD's are over priced and break to easily.
Chris, u went against what Bill said on the MSD's?

Some time ago, Taylor was the only game in town on trucks. Length differs from car to trucks I was told by another co. I asked when theirs would be ready...he said soon. I could wait or told me to get the Taylors, said they had less resistance too. I asked call me when they're ready. He did, I ordered & when I cleaned/ organized my parts room,...forgot where I put em! So much for being in a hurry to get & put mine on.

MSD....well I hope you get more than 2 weeks out of them. They work great while they do but they don't last long, at least for my app.

Yeah I didn't read his thread before I went shopping. Hopefully they hold up. I did some searching on ls1tech about it and most of what I read about Taylor wasn't very good. I saw a lot of recommendations for MSD, so that's what I went with.

Yeah sorry man I didn't even see your thread till you linked to it in here, which was after I already bought the MSD's. Hopefully they work...what application did you have problems with them?

My Harley. To be fair, the bike is abusive on plug wires. There is a lot of heat and vibration. The cores would break and the insulation crack, grounding them on my cylinders.
Most of the guys that I have talked to agree they are great - for a short time period. With your loom as straight as it is you'll probably be fine.
I like the accell wires the best, they are 7mm and hold up great.

Well if I have problems with these I'll go with Accel next time.

Have you ever measured the resistance of your plug wires once you cut them? I think I remember the stock ones being around 100-110 ohms or so. I measured my bank 2 wires after I cut them and got 110 on the shortest one and 128 on the highest one.

I have but not in years. Some auto-parts stores have those wire check machines, lol.

I was just wondering what was normal. I think I'm ok, but I wanted to cross-check with someone.

Anyone have any info on the Magnacore's?
They have really good propaganda on their website, but I don't know how much if any of it is true. They are definitely on the pricey side.

I have had the Magnacore's and Taylors...going back to stock next week (just ripped, yeah ripped the Taylors off). Bunch of over priced ****. I have come to the conclusion, it's for looks. Unless you are running an extreme set up of course. Another thing to consider is headers. Heat is a BIG factor on our setups.
