Is there a way of easily modifying the intake on our trucks for it to flow better and make a little more noise!? Will a K&N Filter help on the stock setup? Any other free mods with this? Thanks!

yes, do a drop in K&N filter and make some holes on the bottom of the stock air box.... I did this on my 04 and you can definately here it sucking some air over the stock set-up,, I actually did a big hole on the bottom of the air box and on the front side of it also...

when i first got my truck and didn't have mod money. i took the intake tube and cut the baffles off of it then sealed it up. i also sealed my k&n drop in to the lid and removed the bottom portion of the box. you have to turn it side ways so it faces forward. there is some rubber material next to the radiator that i pushed to the side so when i drove down the road air would come into the grill area and hit the filter.
this is an extremely cheap way to do it till a aftermarket intake setup can be had. then again, i still don't have an aftermarket intake. i just built one myself.

I got a 13-14" peice of aluminum tubing at the house from the leftover CAI i made. It is freakin sweet and it gives it a really cool fabbed up look. I made a custom airdam for it just like the K&N FIPK except its custom fabbed out of aluminum. I bought the elbow from an online store and my open element is a K&N from summit racing. Giver a try. PM me if you are interested.

I don't care who you are, that's funny right there
