Allowable parasitic drain is approx. 50 milliamps.

 

A truck should only draw around 7 to 12 . 25 would kill a weak battery in a long weekend . Make sure the computer is going to sleep for your readings.

my 91 is killing the batt overnight

50 mA is still a lot of current for an automotive application. Are you running any kind of external devices that could be hot (+12v) when the car is off?

 

if you've got any external devices installed it may not be a bad idea to use a 30A relay.......

 

i always thought 25 mah parasitic draw was the max
