Someone - refresh my memory
What is considered excessive current draw ? 0ver 15 miliamps ?

Allowable parasitic drain is approx. 50 milliamps.

A truck should only draw around 7 to 12 . 25 would kill a weak battery in a long weekend . Make sure the computer is going to sleep for your readings.

>.25 would kill a battery in a night, that is 1/4 of an amp. The most you can have is .050 amps, look it up that is the allowable spec. It would take .012 to keep pcm & related modules memory & a clock/radio alone......

my 91 is killing the batt overnight
I tested the alt - I thought I had a recifier problem
I have to break my fluke out and see what my draw is.
Something is killing the batt

50 mA is still a lot of current for an automotive application. Are you running any kind of external devices that could be hot (+12v) when the car is off?

if you've got any external devices installed it may not be a bad idea to use a 30A relay.......
