Default Critical on exhaust...

I'm wanting to get mine done, however I have many concerns. I want my exhaust to be as hidden as possible, which means like stock exit but barely visible if you were laying on the ground.

This is the most critical part. I want a tight, clean exhaust. Not just some noise can like many get from shops. I want it to be resonant free on the highway, but it can be like aggressive WOT. Can you guys sudgest something to me?

Also, is it worth it to have it all welded past the cat? Will this give better sound?

Exactly... a Corsa muffler will do that.

I have a soundclip of one on my 5.3 if you want to hear it. http://yo_marc.tripod.com Beware of a few popups.

The only thing is the system.. It exits in the same location as stock... and it's quite noticeable from the passenger side and rear of the truck, especially with the bright chrome dual tips.

The tips are removeable, and you can run the tailpipe section without it. It will be more hidden, but nowhere near as hidden as a dumped muffler. I never ran it like that because I didn't like the idea of gases/fumes/condensation during the winter blowing around under my truck when it was idling. (in the winter I would swap out the chrome tips for a crappy 3" pipe from AutoZone)

Can I just buy the muffler somewhere and have it plumbed in town? That would be a hell of a lot more economical.

I don't think you can...

I should have parted my system out - I sold it complete real cheap.

What about Borla, would that be number two?

I know the bigger the muffler typically means the mellower.

Borla's sound good - mellow, but still powerfull. I don't have any experience with them on one of these V8's though.

I absolutely love my B&B here. Loud, powerfull and angry sounding on the inside, without being too intrusive. It's actually a "mellow angry" on the outside. Maybe equal to, or a notch louder than a Borla? It's actually hard to hear with the windows down at 45mph. I'm not sure if that would be an option for you...

Well I just was over at corsa's exhaust. I thought the truck sound was cool, then I heard the C5 pace car sound. I nearly **** my pants.

Kinda looking for the muffler that's not deep, just more aggressive. I'm just being picky cuz I tow a boat very often and I hate resonance.
