crank pulley and bolt installation

Re: crank pulley and bolt installation
Hey dude here's what I did. I put some chassis grease around on the inside of the pulley and some more on the crank snout where the pulley slides on. Make sure you clean it good first. Then slide it on as far as it will and the put the old bolt in a tighten it down until the pulley is all the way seated, then torque to 240 ft lbs or something like that, then remove the bolt and torque a brand new bolt to 240 ft lbs. Oh yeah, I wrapped a strap wrench around the ASP pulley and let the handle rest on another pulley while I tightened the bolt. I didn't have a torque wrench, so I just did it as tight as I could with a breaker handle.

I used a Sears strap wrench,a breaker bar and a pulley puller from Autozone to remove the pulley. To install the new pulley I used an impact wrench to tighten the new bolt then finished tightening with the breaker bar and a cheater pipe.
