Default corvette engine in a Tahoe?

Can a corvette engine be put in a Tahoe? Is this something that I can just go for or are there any possible problems I should be looking for?

Hmmm, fast Tahoe competition, I don't like it!

JFWY!

Look at the iron block 6.0's as well, usually a bit cheaper (leaving money for a cam, long tubes, etc) and a proven engine.

There was a guy from Louisiana with an LS1 in his Tahoe that was at the Jackson gtg last month, I don't remember his name though. May be one of the LA guys will chime in & give his screen name.

Currently I have 07 but this is not the one I'd like to have that engine in. This will be 01-06 Tahoe (LS model preferably - don't know if this matters). There are few sellers from whom I'm considering a purchase solely for modding purposes. I already have new TVS1900 in storage waiting to be installed. Will I have compatibility issues with that supercharger on a corvette engine? There is LS7, brand new engine for sale on Ebay. This is kind of expensive and I'd much rather buy from someone here in the community.

The LS7 isn't a direct swap, LS1/LS6 are direct. LS2 is not direct either.

Like they said, it matters what vette engine you want to use. If you want to use the ls2 you have to change/ re-wire things like knock sensors, and cam position sensor. Also the ls2 would have to be a earlier year one so it has the 24x. If you were to use an ls1 everything would work fine, like said above, easiest to use your intake manifold and front accessories off of the Tahoe engine.

Can be simple or complicated depending on your goals. I put an LS3 into a 03 Avalanche. Due to the L92 heads my intake wouldn't work - when I changed out the intake my accessories wouldn't work - when I changed out the accessories I had to notch the passanger side frame to keep the AC. Not to mention having to mount and wire the 24/58x reluctor converter box.
