the touring is quiet on a relatively stock setup. I have longtubes without converters so the touring is loud on it. The sport is loud on a stock setup. It would be TOO loud on a modded setup IMO.

I'm wondering if having the exhaust dumped before the axle has any effect on the volume?

Now I'm curious as to how loud the Corsa Sport system will be on my stock '05.

On volume, maybe somewhat...however, my brother's sport system is dumped before his rear axle and it sounds nearly identical to the way that it did before he dumped it and his truck is otherwise stock.

In theory yes, because the sound bounces off the ground.

Not many have had both Corsa systems to compare.

The best answer for this, follows.

On my bro's '02 ECSB, he has Sport on otherwise stock exhaust. It has manifolds, & cats. When u hammer it, it roars to life.
Mine is in my sig. Idle is normal, when I lay into it, it has a great sound to it, IMO. Gentle application of throttle is not obnoxious. 1 day, I'll post of clips of both, when I get a way to record them.

On my 99 I used to have LT's>stock cats>x-pipe>dual Edelbrock mufflers dumped before the axle and it sounded perfect to my ears. Nice subtle rumble at idle but mean as hell when you got on it without being too raspy. I seem to recall a little bit of drone but nothing too terrible.

I'll give my thoughts on the Corsa Sport once I have it installed. Thinking it should be here and on in about two weeks.

fastnblu---it'll be interesting to watch the two different systems! I need to find a good place to order the touring system for myself though! lol

I have had both the sport and touring Corsa on my truck. I liked the sport best but I was running it with cats. I only switched to the touring after my last mod,
Radix, because the sport was just to loud once the Radix was sitting on top. I'm getting ready to list the sport for sale shortly.
