they have a ******* formula one car as well I swear! lol.
I could outrun them but thats another problem by itself, there is about 1 camera per 5 people of population or something here and all the cop cars have cameras that are running and automatically scan/save check for fines as the cops drive by cars.
The only problem is, anything that does not have a stock exhaust gets the "loud" exhaust fine which SUCKS, i might as well cruise down the road with NO EXHAUST.
In the other city next to Dubai, you're car gets confiscated FOREVER for just having an exhaust....
this sucks bigtime.

In NY, you can get a ticket for having anything in the exhaust system that is not stock. Your best bet would be to contact them and ask what exactly you can get away with. If you quiet it up, drive it in, and ask them. If they see you are making an honest attempt to not **** them off they might be more understanding.

Dude, that blows. I guess you could run a stock exhaust, and maybe gut the muffler...or just do a cut-out, in addition to the stock exhaust. I know that would defeat the purpost of the TVS and everything, but I don't know how much you could realistically get away with over there. I might would just get a small, eco-car and drive the truck less often.

Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police launched a campaign that will tighten procedures for traffic control, as of 10 June, on all vehicles and motorcycles modified by the owners. Amplifying their exhaust and increasing vehicle speed on public roads, saying that it will apply a fine of 900 dirhams ($250 USD) and impoundment for 30 days.
I think we are getting closer too, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi implemented those rules, Dubai is next. Pitty, I would do anything just to keep my american v8 running haah. fawk teh pawleeece yo.
