Default copper plugs for an 08 5.3

im in the market for some new plugs for my 2008 5.3 silvy. i heard some things about NGK copper plugs. has anyone heard or done this to their nnbs? looking for any input on plugs for the truck as well

I wouldn't doubt if your engine takes the same NGK TR55 (or just TR5 now I believe) that the GENIII's have been using for years. Have you checked to see which NGK plugs cross over? How many miles are on your rig? You should have AC Delco Iridium plugs which are about the best you can get as far as longevity. An iridium plug can take 100k and burn the mixture just as good as it did it's first few run hours.

Why do you want to switch to copper, for the better conductor or cheaper price tag?

yeah im looking for a better conductor i was told that the TR5's will fit my truck. but if the iridium plugs will make a spark just as good now as it did straight from the factory i might just stick with them.
