Default Cooler stat

I want a 160 degree stat. Do i have to reprogram the comp when i put it in. Will it trick the truck into running rich with the cooler temp? Please inform me about it. thanks virgil

Well, for what it's worth, I think the majority here will probably agree that a 180* would be a better option. No need to reset the computer; if/when you get a tuned computer, let the tuner know which t'stat you're using.
