Looking into getting a new converter and I think I decided on the TT3000. I called a couple of places and they told me they were going for about $750. Does that sound about right or can I do better?

That sounds about right. They will all probably be the same in the end. Some of the cheaper places charge for shipping and then some that have the converter listed for 750 ship it for free.

Yeah, that's the price. What does that vig you have stall to now? Do you need the TT for the extra towing capacity?

It's a 2800. I think it flashes to 3000-3200. ...but yea, I need the towing capacity. Thanks for the input guys.

Have you looked into the multidisc Vig converters specifically for trucks? Maybe someone that has a little more knowledge w/ them could chime in, but if I'd have known about them b/f I bought my TT3200HD from Yank, I probably would have gone that route instead.

I am getting a bigger converter for my 3.23 gears. I thought 3000 would be fine but my car is a pig (for a car) at 3900lbs. I just ordered a vigilante 3200 (stalls to 3600-3800)
and will see a lot of track use when my tires and wheels get here. Just trying to recoup some money

well, I talked to a guy at PI and he said he does not recommend the multidisc vig if I plan to tow anything.
