I picked up the truck tonight after having the tranny rebuilt, the veter, and vette servo installed. Not to bad at first test. I didn't bang on it to hard on the drive home though. I threw a code at startup and didn't have a code reader. I was sure it was a random misfire since the cam is'nt tuned yet, but played it safe. When I got home, I was right on the code.

BTW, It's a Pro Yank 3400 converter. Made in June 2003. 258mm size. 2.7 STR (the highest of any Yank converter), 98% efficiency. The performance is similar to the TT 3000 except the driveability is much higher due to the extremely high 2.7 STR.

I'll give a better update after tunning. But so far, so good. Very tight!!

I had a good friend do it. I really wanted a Century one, but let's face it, i'm not going to get 600rw anytime soon. I just want to be able to play. To many things going on right now to drop major cash on mods.

I guess this means you have no exscuse not to run at the shootout now. I want more info on that verter. Sounds just like what Yank is now calling the Pro Truck model. I need to get to the shootout so I can drive that thing.

Any word on the tuning?

It's a bracket race so it doesn't matter how fast you run, just as long as you can do it again.

Give that man a cookie! That's exactly what it is. When i met Mike at the Thunder Shootout, he said I would like it a lot. At that time, I had one of the only ones. This is the one I bought from Patrick G.

As for thr Shootout, I'll be there. I just got back from MTI and still no luck on the tunning even with the new laptop. Jayson even loaded the program on his laptop (the one he uses on all the cars) and still getting kicked out on security. Used his cables too. About the only thing left is to see if I have a wire spliced into one of the ones that the cable plugs into under the dash. that would kick it out.
