Rosscob,
I will try and find my notes and research I had done on it. The intercooler I was interested in was made by a company in Georgia using a spearco core. I have tried to find the web page (intercoolereffects.com) I had for them but no luck. I am thinking they may have gone out a biz.

It looked alote like this pic i'm attaching but it was bigger and the intake was angled instead of dead ending like this one and the in and out pipe lined up between the radiator (32 inch) and radiator support. It was I think as diminsionally perfect as you could get without a complet fab to spec. It did mean relocating or removing the trans and p.s. cooler if you have them.

Thanks for the info. If you find that info I would love to see it. I hate trying to re-invent the wheel when someone else has already done it.

Ross,
I got up in the attic and looked through my boxes from my last move and can't find it. I did find intercoolereffects phone number though and when I dialed it it is out of service. Sorry

I was thinking what about the one that livernois uses in it's turbo kit? I wonder which one it is? mzoomora posted on the turbo silverado post asking if the intercooler could be bought seperatly. That would be perfect if it was, mounting would be done and most of the plumbing done. Just working out the discharge mounting to the intercooler

I will keep looking but Pretty sure it must have been a casualty of the last move. I will p/m if It shows up

Kurt,

Thanks for the research. I have been looking at the intercooler setup from Livernois also. I am probably going to order it today. I like the fact that all the piping is there, and it mouts to factory bolt locations.

They also told me that they have modified it a little to sit up higher behind the bumper for better clearance. I think this is all going to come together ok. I haven't cut up my discharge assembly yet because I want to see how close the livernois piping comes to matching up. Mabye I can make it a perfect fit if I'm careful.

I'm make sure and keep posting as I make progress.

I'm going to do a intercooler setup on my truck soon to. I found a intercooler on ebay that is brand new, cheap and the perfect size. The dim. are 24" long that way it will fit between the frame 12" tall 3" thick and 3" in 3" out for the piping. The cost of the intercooler is $165 plus shipping $40 total $205 Just go to ebay.com type in intercooler and you will see the one I am talking about. Hope this helps plus it will probley save you alot of money.

How are you planning on routing the piping out of the whipple?

I'm going to put the Ls1 intake on it that way there is plenty of room to work the piping. I'm getting the intercooler I told you about and probley some electric fans so I will have plenty of room to work with. When I get it finished I will definatally post some pics. Good Luck with your setup

Default At least they responded to my email

[QUOTE=rosscob]I just got off the phone with someone at Whipple who really knows what's going on. It took a little time to get thru their phone protocals to someone who knew what they were talking about.

This is Whipple's answer to me when I asked them Rosscob's question:Michael,
Now what are you trying to do with this are you trying to make it from a 2 belt setup to a single belt that's what it sound like if so it would cost you around 2700.00
