Did the leakdown test today and got 5% across the board, so the rings are good and the oil has to be coming from the head somewhere. I'm going to order a new set of valve seals and replace all them next.

When i put a set of ported heads on my car, and changed almost nothing else, it started using quite a bit of oil too. I'm not sure if it was the new guides, seals, etc..

I've noticed that most people automatically think there's a problem w/ the short block when it comes to oil consumption, but IMO the heads could just as easily be the culprit.

good news thunder! maybe the intake guides? But, you'd see lots of smoke though wouldn't ya? If you pull those heads, I wanna see pics of those piston tops.
