you punch it from a dig nad it moves ( nothing fast either ) and about 3k-3200 it really starts setting you back in the seat hard core

I love it when people get on here and bench race. "I think it will do this, I think it will do that." 3200 or larger for this cam and you will come HARD out of the hole you could get away with a 3K but 3200 would be nice. 3600ish is where the cam really turned on in my truck. Shift points were 1-2 6700 2-3 6600 3-4 way too damn fast for a 4wd to be going 2-3 was at 100mph with 3.73s and my tire combo 3rd ended way after my escalade cluster was pegged and lets jsut say with a 150 shot of nitrous and ful bolt ons with this cam is a ride Glad you like my cam neg. now get some track times with a fat verter in it

you think he should spin his, (5.3 or 4.8 im not really sure) all te way to 6700 too? slow, is yours a 5.3? and did you spin it that hgih with stock rod bolts and rotaing assembly with just the valve upgrades of rods and springs? just thinkin that thats pretty high rpms, what would you suggest to tune a 224/224 .581 to spin to 1-2 and 2-3? right now i havea 204/218 spinnign to 6300

*** update***

been driving the truck for a while not got a crapp mail tune that has p0104, p0171, p0121 and p0405 all pending cept 0121 which is tps code which was just replaced 0405 is egr and the otehr 2 are bank 1 and bank 2 lean condition

thats either from my headers running to cool and a faulty egr or westers tuning it weird for the mods, it runs alot better with the codes on in open loop lol

i wap it out to 6900 quite frequently in tow haul *** mode and 6300-6400 in reg driving mode it definately makes alot of top end power it pulls HARD over 3000 compared to stock for stock heads and intake manifold.

i've yet to go to the track thats on the to do list as it getting it tuned professionally

still debating buying a efi live college really restricts my cash flow

tranny is still holding strong @ 101k miles bone stock and rad cooler(i need to cap that off before it dumps coolant into the trans)

it just has to last long enough for me to get a 6 speed in there

i can see how 4.10's make this cam streetable with a stock trans. def could not have done it with 3.42's

it idles around 600-700 and dosent lope hardly at all in gear just in park and idle, i ahve to mash the brake on hardcore to keep it from lurching forward every 2-3 seconds lol
