Hey Tiburon how well did the truck do without the edit? I plan on getting one after the cam and spring install, but it might be awhile. I just want to make sure the truck will run ok with the HPPIII until I get the edit. I plan on putting the cam and springs in after the holidays and new year. Sucks but it will be great when it's all done.

It would barely idle. Idle had to increased at the throttle body in order for it to stay on.

Correct, that was before the tune.
Actually I have not really driven my truck much. I have only slaghtered a QC Hemi and a GTP from a roll. Probably not even worth mentioning.
My truck is running great. I do have have an SES light that comes on and goes away. I just logged my truck yesterday using Auto Tap and got a
PO 300-engine misfire detected code. I really don't think its anything to warry about. Maybe clearing this code and raising the idle RPM's a tad will fix this.

Out of curiosity, if people are going with the Comp 21/218 on a 114, why not go for the "Z06 replacement cam" from Comp?? It's also 212/218, but on a 115, and it has a little over .030" more lift (and a more agressive lobe, methinks).

Just wondering...

The only member I know how has this cam is Scream but he has a 4.8. He was able to get 30rwhp just from the cam and no tuning. Fast4.8 is in the process of putting it in too.

I was told not to go with a 115lsa because of it's "lazyness" whatever that means. Would be better for a blower because you wouldn't be leaking boost out though...

Ryan23silverado, yes I had the blower before the cam and the blower made a HUGE torque difference down low, but it would fall on it's face up to. This cam screams all the way till 6250. Without EDIT though it would of been a turd IMHO.

I'll try to go to Edinburg's track sometime to have fun with the trucks.
