I checked out the fuel pressure and sure enough it's bleeding off. It goes from 50 psi to 40 psi in less than a minute. I already replaced my FPR so It must be my fuel pump. BTW this all happened after the walboro install on mine.

Why would it matter if the pressure is bleeding off when the truck is off? The fuel pump will build possitive pressure as soon as you turned the key on... Not to be an ***, just tring to see where we are going with this?

For sure if there is pressure drop when the truck is running, or any surges in fuel pressure while it is running there would either be a problem with the FPR or pump.

Hmm... @ idle:

- is the blade completely closed?
- explain "rough" idle (too much fuel = rough, lesser fuel runs okay @ idle but not above idle & would surge more than run rough)
- does the engine sputter (trait of not enuff incoming air)

Just a few questions to help diagnose your real issue. I (personally) would adjust the idle stop screw if the blade is closed off at idle (clean the carbon deposits around the blade first). I see you have HPTuners (listed in your sig). Why not scan & log at idle to really see what your truck's doing with air & fuel. Just a thought.

If I crank the truck up and release without pressing the gas it turns off. However, if I accelerate it for a few seconds until the pressure builds it idles fine. The reason for this is because it doesn't build enough positive pressure as soon as the key is turned on like you say it should. I just wrote this to give him an idea not a diagnosis to his problem. What's your idea?

I'm thinking his new headers and ORY might have something to do with it, and now the slight cooler weather here in Texas has made the problem emerge.... Not sure though....

I agree with C10, he needs to log it and see what is going on to diagnose the real issue.

Hey guys, started it up this morning after cleaning the IAC and it seems fine now. We will see how it goes tomorrow morning when it will be colder. I haven't had time to mess with it further since cleaning the IAC but I will check the idle stop screw and scan and log it when I get time. I also plan to tweak the tune for the headers in the immediate future with the assistance of Zippy. Thanks again for the suggestions and I will update again tomorrow.
