Default coils

i've searched around a lot and have found info on all the different types of the genIII coils, I have a full set of LS1 coils that are the round ones. will they work definately on a truck harness? the harness is a 2002 from a silverado. I just want to know if someone has tried it and it works, I dont see why they would be much different... Iguess I could go try one on my truck later if no one has a response. btw the harness is going into a sandrail, so I cant really test the harness with the coil since I dont have it hooked up yet.

thanks,

jake

I have a 2002, yeah their plug and play. Theres alot of aftermarket stuff out there that can be shared w/the genIII engines.

You might want to look into it but I read somewhere that people are going to the truck coils as they can support more spark per horsepower.

I have a book I picked up last year on LSx engine building, it said many people run the round style truck coils because they are better, but there was no real reasoning given, so take it with a grain of salt.
