i am really not much of a turbo expert. i didn't know they made a t3 that could flow that much.

if it were me i would stick with a small t4, that way if you ever wanted to step up to something really big it would just bolt on.

You should get a single T-76 Big Shaft Ball-bearing R-Trim with a .96 A/R. Thats what I am doing on my 408. http://www.innovativeturbo.com

i think that turbo is too small for anyone with a max effort project. i dont have a lot of experience with diferent turbos but i know my t76 was way too small for a 408.

Well two t3 based turbos would not be worth a hill of beans on a 408. Definatly not ideal. For a Drag/Street racer I would run a single 88 with a t-6 flange. This is if you want to do it right the first time. I would bet the 408 could go 8's with lets say a 91 or bigger.

As far as twins go I would look into twin 66's or 70's with a t-4 tang. flange and a A/R of about .68. This will allow you to turn it without choking up too much.

If you get a build sheet or a idea on cam, converter, vehicle wieght.......I could help a little more.

well i tried to get him to go with the 408 but he was going through a bunch of my books and decide he wants a 572 from gmpp with a huge procharger. i don't know i'm just here to put it together and tell him if something is obviously not gonna work. so we will see and it is a 74 nova 4dr with 91,000 miles its gonna be gutted with a full roll cage and i'm looking for a full fiberglass front end right now instead of replacing the fenders and hood and bumper...... then rear subframe with the wheelie bars set up already built into the subframe which has the ladder bar set up. it will be tubbed for sure. with pizza cutters up front and bigg *** fatties in the back. i may need a little help along the way as this is my first full build so bare with me if you all would.
oh and where can i get a copy of the ihra and nhra rules?
