Clearance on AS&M headers
#1
I installed my asm headers this weekend. I soon as I went WOT I head a rumbling noise from the engine. I notice that the stearing column rubs the header when the wheels are turning slightly left. Has anyone expierence this with these headers. Its rubbing on the ribbed part of the stearing column. I was thinking of taking the part of and grinding it down some. Will this work or is there another option. Please help.

It's not the clip. It's part of the stearing column. I wish I had a digitial camera to show everyone. But I spend my money on my truck.

There is ample clearance for my 5.3. Pics would help. I would also give ASM a call and see what they have to say. I had more problems on the passenger side. What year truck do you have?
