Default cleaning help

ok i am hoping that all of yall keep your engine bay sparkling. i used to when i lived down in the houston area, it was pretty easy. however now that i am in lubbock area i have sand dunes under the hood. i am probably going to wait until i go home for summer but, damn it looks bad. anyone have suggestions about cleaning? i have never used a pressure washer under the hood because of all the electrical stuff. any of yall use the pressure washer to clean? other suggestions? thanks yall

I use a pressure washer all the time. I keep mine clean enough to where all I have to do is wash off the dust. When it is real dirty, I get a couple of cans of degreaser spay it on and wash it off a few times. Befor I wash the rest of the truck, after the engine is dry, I mist the engine compartment with Armor All or something similar.
