cleaning coated headers

cleaning coated headers
Got my Pacesetter long tubes installed last week. I want to clean them up a bit, but I am not sure what to use. I was thinking about a de-greaser or something like that, then use alcohol to take off any residue, a friend said use some metal polish, but I dont know what the heat would do if there is some type of residue. What do you guys think? They are not real dirty, just some grease from my hands when I installed them, and some road grime.
