I'd like a little more chop in my idle.
Do I just ask justin to adjust accordingly?

I would think there would be no gain- your only adjusting timing for idle - as soon as it gets Over a certain rpm normal state would kick in.

You do not want choppy in a 4x4 per se. Choppy cams get the "chop" from LSA and LSA affects vacuum.

sorry to say that if you want the hp/tq, youre going to need a converter. really no way to get what you are looking for without getting a TC. I mean you can get a custom ground cam slightly bigger then stock cut on a say 109 lsa but its almost point less. the gain will be minimal by the seat of the pants.

I don't know exactly what parameters are changed. Geoff at EPS explained the method to me, though...I think it involves setting the idle section of the spark table to wacky numbers.

You lose a lot of idle and off-idle torque with the timing tweaked like so. It sounds and shakes like a boss, but is the equivalent of having a bad miss until you get it into a different part of the spark table.

Yes, you wouldn't want the whole spark table getting jacked like this lol.

What do yall think it would change the mpg? If any. I really like the sound of a cam. I cant really afford one. Unless it was almost cost free. Iether way I would need a tune and im not sure about cost on them. I have a bully dog tuner. Im not sure if they do custome tunes or not. I would like to sell and get a hp or efilive. I got a baby on the way and the gorgeous wife woult kill me if I spent to much $

I know a lot of people who keep breaking their tensioners because of a very choppy idle cam. These days you don't need to go choppy, a custom can net you the same, if not more power than a nasty idling cam while maintaining smooth daily drivability. Just my two cents.

I just got a tune by texasgmc08 (jrx tuning)today. It made a world of difference. Compared to my bully dog gt. He did an awesome job.
