Question Check Engine Flashing?

We did the swap on the 5.3...we changed to a 224/230 .581/.592 on a 114 LSA
Everything seems normal except the traction keeps going off...and the check engine light is flashing when we stop at a red light? is it because its still not tuned?

yeah it is man... the check engine flashing is most probably a misfire... how is the idle? does the motor switch off, or is it really rough?? once the engine misfires are out of the way and the idle is dialed in perfectly, there will be no problems with the stabilitrak... I told you i should've waited!! lol

if u wanna get it done tonight gimme a call

Flashing CEL=% misfire that is bad enough to cause catalytic converter damage. You may have a mis, or it may be that the PCM thinks there's a mis due to the agressive camshaft. You need to find out if it's really missing or not, if not, you must soften up the misfire monitor via tuning.

You need a tune -- that will solve the misfire CEL as well.

Post p-308 mis fire code here

The deal is I have changed the coil pack and plugs and it's still having the same code the light flashes on and off all the time. When I am on the gas it's off when I am not are at a light setting still it's on and is running ruff at an idle... The dealer says it needs to be re-built and I really don't want to spend the money for that I just don't really think it's that... I bought it new and have the oil changed on a reg. basic so please I hope someone in this forum can tell me what to have check so I don't end up going to the poor house over this deal ... PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

Did you ever get a proper tune for it? Is P0300 the only code you are getting on it?
