Why do they even bother running it thru the TB? and does it really add 6-8rwhp? that would be a heck of on increase for something so simple.

Think about it instead of heating the intake air to the coolant temp you are drawing intake air through the TB at the ambient temp.

on a $300 budget i would:

egr blockoff ~3$
k&n filter ~30$
Wheatley tune 275
throttle body bypass FREE!
cut 3" hole in bottom of stock airbox and metal plate below FREE!
chop ******* off of intake tube FREE!
port and polish throttle body FREE http://www.cardomain.com/ride/993398/4

woops i spent $308

How do you do the EGR block off? I have never heard or seen anything about that

What year is your truck? If you are 2002 or newer this is not needed, it was deleted from factory.

I think i'm confused. You want cool air in your TB. I understand why you would unhook the hoses from the TB. but why did they put them on the TB to begin with? what was the point?
