Default changing oil pump on 4wd

When changing the oil pump on a 2500 4wd does the front axle need to be dropped to drop the oil pan?

No sir. You can get to all the bolts and drop the pan enough to get the pickup tube off.

I did mine a few months back this way. It seriously sucks but can definitely be done without dropping the diff.
