Changing exhaust! want advice

ramdas, did you say 2 mufflers together in line? i've never heard of that? Also, for the guys who said hooker aerochamber, how much do they cost and will this give me a cleaner sound too? Last, how do magnaflow's work? Is it the bigger the case the quieter or what? thanks!

yes the bigger the case the quieter it is. I haven't heard any that are that loud honestly. Aerschmbers will clean up the sound alot but are not really loud either. If you put to mufflers in line it will cut down on the resonance and make it cleaner, but will produce less sound. magnaflow does this with what they call resonators. Little round mufflers that go in front of themuffler. I actually used those resonators as my muffler on my vho. Sound was ok for awhile. Now it sounds more like a glass pack. But I don't own that anymore.

get the 3" center in/out muffler. you can see straight through it.

Thats what I would suggest for deep rumble. I love their sound, but on my stock Z71 it was too quiet. I also like my Quickflow muffler, awesome performance, pretty mellow at idle, but screams at WOT.

Well, here's my two cents. You guys may not like them but I'm impressed with my Super 40 Flow, Single in-single out, "3in w/ no pipe after the muffler. It's deeper than the 40 and sounds great at WOT and has less drone when you're just cruisin around or going down the highway. The best of both worlds in my opinion....

I will say that I love the sound of the flowmasters. Although drone doesn't bother me. Its the performance aspect of them that I dislike. I ran one on my crew cab after my magnaflow and was utterly disappointed with the loss of power associated with the flowmaster. Went back to a different magnaflow after keeping the flowmaster on for about a week and instantly felt the power re-appear. Just my 2 cents

If you wanted the bassani louder you should have dumped it off the muffler with tips pointed at the ground. I know it sounds stupid but that is the way to get those bassanis to scream and sound really badass.

Hey VHO, think you could send me a sound clip of those Bassani mufflers on your ride?

sorry don't have a video recorder or anything. Where is Oktaha? I am from Oklahoma and gt back their every once in awhile. I am running the duals now, but I had a single custom made bassani that is for sale now. I've really thought about going back to a single jsut to see how loud it would be. My truck sounds damn good right now with almost no interior resonance going down the highway. In town cruising you can hear it but when you put your foot in it she screams and everyone is like what the hell is going on.
