chance to buy used cam

I just got a call and have a chance to buy a cam out or a 05 ls2 out of a GTO
Would this swap be worth my time with 05 5.3 lm7 in my GMC?

Thanks guys...all i needed to know im looking for a good low end to mild range cam without running a stall and i was just making sure i couldnt use that one before i went and bought it
