Get some racing seats and put the shifter on the center hump back close to where you sit.
isnt he talking about putting the shifter inbetween the seats?? i thought the 96 one would work...

I think so. If the console fits the shifter should work fine.

AACK!!! YOUR CONFUSING ME!

the impala has the 4l60e.. i figure with removal of the center console you could hook it up... of course replace the emblem with a chevy symbol or something.

the pic tiburon posted is exactly what i am looking to do. perfect! thanks man! it will be a three speed though. TH400 i just wanted to see if it would work in a standard cab though.

This is crazy. Are you saying just use the shifter from the 96 Impala or the shifter and console?

no doubt. um, like, one out of our year trucks would, like, bolt right in or something. like i said, just wanted to see if it had been done in a standard cab.
