Default Cats too small?

Hey, just got back from the exhaust shop and the guy there told me my cats are to small. Has anyone else had any problem with 4.3 cats with a 6.0?

I am not sure why you would have 6 cylinder cats on a v-8 truck. I would guess they are to small as well, if I were to guess. I would put some high flow after markets or put the right ones on there. Seem like the thing to do.

It had a 4.3 in it two weeks ago. Moved up to the 6.0, which the exhaust still bolts right up to it.

Congratulations, Timmer1! If the small cats were the only problem that you ran into, I'd say you did pretty good with a challenging project.

So how does it run? How does that Getrag 5 speed do with the 6.0?

put a hole in them, and have the rear O2s tuned out. That way you'll still pass inspection, and the visual.

New high flow cats are a little expensive.
