Default !cats with stock muffler

I am going to be installing my pacesetters with the ORY this week and I really want to keep the stock muffler the SS comes with. Will I be holding that much power back by keeping it like that? What can I expect it to sound like with no cats and stock muffler?

Sounds like a good set-up, no pun intended. Stock mufflers are the best for keeping interior resonance down.

Thanks Soquel. Do you still have the stock muffler with the cam in there?

I really want to hear a clip when you get it done I think it should sound pritty good, I would just spend 30 bucks and put a cutout on for the track

No, but I have a really big magnaflow, almost as quiet as stock. I put in a cut-out before it. I'm running it open right now but If I go on any long trips or get tired of the noise I just cap it up, still pulls great up top

I will definately get some sound clips when it is all done. I am gonna wait for the tune though(end of the week or early next week) cause I am deleting the cats and I really dont want my truck throwing any crazy codes with 1300 miles.

I heard you shouldn't run these trucks open headers, any imput?
