Default Cats are gone!

i just took my cats off and man is the truck LOUD! i have a true duel set up, with 2 one chamber flows dumped by the cab. i really like it but i sounds like **** when i take off hard. it sounds like a huge machine gun going off. im thinking about maybe moving the dumps to the back by the bumper. any ideas of how to get rid of the machine gun sound? also before i put the sims on the check engine light didnt come on? why? do i really need the sims?

I have my rear 02 sensors turned off but I am reluctant to teke the cats off because of the sound.

Add an x-pipe you'll be amazed at how much queter it is and how much better the quality of the sound is,the metalic sounds of single chamber Flowmasters has got to be unbearable a set of quieter mufflers couldn't hurt either.I'm running ASM headers,no cats,a custom wye-pipe with a Flowmaster venturi wye and a 70 series Flowmaster catback. My Tahoe is quiet on the inside and no louder than a stock Z28 on the outside.

You need to keep the front 02 sensors and add sims for the rears. If you have LS1 edit you can turn off the rear 02s so you wouldn't need sims.

By turning off your rear o2 sensors with edit, you will not get the SES light.

How loud are the Quickflow mufflers?I didn't see any comparisons to other performance mufflers on their website. Why would you assume they would outflow a Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler.
